1. Overview
'Hey Fox, What Are You Doing?' (brand name "Hey Fox", hereinafter the "Service") is a check-in app for leaving a record of who you are right now with one photo a day and exchanging greetings with the people close to them (their circle members). The operator treats users' personal data with care and handles it as set out below in accordance with applicable laws.
2. Personal data items we collect
When logging in with a Google or Apple account
- Email address, name, profile photo (in the case of Google login), unique account identifier
Entered directly while using the Service
- Nickname
- Check-in photos (only photos taken directly with the camera inside the app โ no gallery access) and captions
- Circle name, invite code
Collected automatically
- Device token for sending push notifications (FCM)
- App error and crash diagnostic information (Firebase Crashlytics)
- Device integrity verification information to prevent forgery of or tampering with the app (Firebase App Check)
- App usage information (screen transitions, whether features are used, app instance identifier, device information โ Google Analytics)
Information we do not collect: location data, contacts, the device photo gallery, advertising identifiers.
3. Purposes of use
- Sharing one check-in photo a day among circle members (core feature)
- Sending push notifications such as check-in and daily reminders
- Diagnosing app errors and improving the stability of the Service
- Analyzing and improving how the Service is used (Google Analytics โ not used for advertising purposes)
- Preventing misuse, such as blocking forged or tampered-with apps
4. Storage and destruction
The information we collect is stored in Google Firebase (Google Cloud, Seoul region).
Check-in photos and check-in records cannot be modified or deleted within the app. This is a policy for protecting the essence of the Service โ "the real today, with no editing and no filters" (the authenticity of check-ins) โ and we disclose this and obtain consent at sign-up. Check-in photos are disclosed only to the members of the same circle.
Notification records are deleted automatically after a certain period.
Account deletion can be done directly in the app. Tapping Settings โ Delete account in the app immediately deletes all of the user's personal data, including account information, nickname, check-in photos and records, and device tokens. If you cannot open the app, you can also make a request to the contact address below. For details on how to do this, see Deleting your account.
5. Provision to third parties and entrustment of processing
We do not provide users' personal data to third parties. Check-in photos are disclosed only to the members of the circle the user belongs to.
To operate the Service, we entrust the processing of personal data to the following companies.
- Google LLC โ provides the Firebase infrastructure (login authentication, database, photo storage, push notifications, error diagnostics, app integrity verification, usage statistics analysis)
- Apple Inc. โ provides Apple account login (Sign in with Apple) authentication
6. Users' rights
Users may at any time request to access their own personal data, to correct it (nickname and the like), or to delete it (by deleting their account). Account deletion can be done directly under Settings โ Delete account in the app, and you can also follow the procedure on the Deleting your account page or make a request to the contact address below.
Users under the age of 14 may not use the Service, and the operator does not collect personal data from children under the age of 14.
